Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 23, 2009 — To celebrate the launch of its premium pet photography studio this month, Otis & Lucy is co-hosting a launch party with Grateful Dogs which is celebrating 10 years in business.

Otis & Lucy Photography’s owner and photographer, Andy Sheng, launched the studio to meet the discriminating needs of pet owners who want more than just posed pictures of their four-legged loved ones. In order to capture the essence of pets as seen through their owner’s eyes, Andy knew that he’d have to design a studio with pets in mind. The studio’s pet-friendly environment was created by implementing custom features such as a state-of-the-art wireless lighting system mounted on ceiling rails so that pets can roam free and be easily photographed; wear and tear-resistant flooring for potty accidents; all-natural pet treats from Ruff Ruff Bakery; toys for dogs and cats; and an outdoor area where dogs can take potty breaks. “In designing this studio, my goal was to ensure that pets feel safe and comfortable. Giving the animals a relaxed and enjoyable experience is the best way to bring out their true character in a photograph,” says Sheng.

It’s important for us to be aligned with pet businesses that share a common philosophy, and we are excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary in conjunction with Otis & Lucy’s grand opening.

The Otis & Lucy studio opening happened to coincide with Grateful Dogs’ 10- year anniversary, and the owners of the two businesses realized that they had a great opportunity to celebrate together. With the businesses founded on the similar premise that it’s all about the animals, Suzie Corrales and Debby Axler, co-owners of Grateful Dogs, felt that a joint celebration was in order. “It’s important for us to be aligned with pet businesses that share a common philosophy, and we are excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary in conjunction with Otis & Lucy’s grand opening.”
