Winners Selected From 7,100 Entries in Hahnemühle’s Anniversary Collection Awards Competition
Woodstock, IL November 13, 2009 The competition, part of Hahnemühle’s 425th Anniversary celebration, featured entries from all over the world and was judged by a distinguished panel of international experts. Three winners were selected in each of the three open categories: People & Portrait; Landscape & Nature and Architecture & Still Life as well as three winners in the Student category. “The entries included a wide variety of high-quality images and progressive subjects,” stated judge Philippe Litzer, noted photo editor from France.
All 7,100 entries were judged on concept, composition and message. This initial review yielded 350 finalists from which the twelve winners were ultimately selected. These winners, as well as 28 other note worthy images, will make up the much-heralded Hahnemühle Anniversary Collection.
The winners were notified and asked to submit their original digital files, but were not told what place they had been awarded. These will be announced at a special Photokina preview presentation in November. The Hahnemühle Anniversary Collection will be touring major photo capitals of the world during 2010. The New York exhibition is scheduled for May 24th through June 21st. For exact dates and locations for the entire international tour, please visit www.hahnemuhle .com.
