Tiffen® Announces New Dfx™ Essentials

Las Vegas, NV, CES Booth 31136, December 10, 2009 — The Tiffen Company, a leading New York-based manufacturer and distributor of photographic accessories, announced the availability of its new Dfx Essentials software, an introduction to digital photo enhancement available for Windows or Macintosh users.  Dfx Essentials will be available through retail specialty dealers at the MSRP of $69.95.  Dfx Essentials is a selective version of Tiffen’s professional award-winning Dfx Creative Digital Effects software.

Dfx Essentials offers the ability to easily create multiple filter and effect layers, color, clone and red-eye removal tools, with non-destructive crop, rotate and scaling.  The intuitive filter palette with thumbnail previews makes it simple to evaluate effects before applying it to an image.  Dfx Essentials is compatible with a wide range of file types including camera raw and final images can be saved in either tif or jpg formats. Owners of Dfx Essentials will also be able to upgrade to the comprehensive Dfx Digital Effects Stand-alone.
